The Work Academy creates 80 new jobs

The Future Jobs Fund

FJF is a government initiative to get young people back into work, the government has committed £1billion pounds to this project nationally. At local level The Work Academy were involved in a consortium bid with Norfolk County Council to create approximately 360 jobs and our bid was successful.

The Work Academy has been working with partner organisations for some time to deliver training to develop and progress young people. We have many successful projects in our experience and a natural choice to partner with other local organisations. A consortium of training providers was created with Norfolk County Council as lead for the bid.

Young people aged 18-24 who are long term unemployed can apply from a range of jobs in construction, administration and warehousing. There are 25 hours per week with a pay rate of £5.80-£5.93 per hour.
